CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT ABOUT COMPANION PLANTS

19 OCTOBER and it's finally getting warmer . . .

We are planting a variety of seeds and seedlings and experimenting with companion plants. For example, heirloom tomatoes with basil, pop corn [yes, it does come from a plant!] with cucumbers and sunflowers, coriander and potatoes. marigolds to ward off nasty insects, carrots, lettuce and beetroot, and Denzel's strawberries will go in to the herb bed once we have sorted it out and divided up some of the herbs to pot.

Our pot plants are looking great! Gave them a dose of Seasol and its good to see that most people are getting used to the seaweedy smell.

More planting and potting on Friday.
